Ruins on Stone Hill Coming to Audio!

Hey Folks, it's finally happening--Ruins is coming to audio! The first book in the Heroes of Ravenford series is now in audio production with a tentative release date sometime this June.

Needless to say, I am very excited! The producer is a good friend of mine, the marvelous Matthew Santos. I've known Matt for years. His voice range is phenomenal, from his Micky Mouse impersonation to his deep Scottish brogue. He is also a fan of the series, and was actually flattered to be chosen as the narrator. (The truth is, I was flattered that he wanted to do it.)

We sat down with Matt the other day (myself and the original role players behind Lloyd, Seth, Aksel, and Glo.) We spent the good portion of the evening talking about the characters and going over potential voices. Matt wants each to have their own distinct tone - to bring out their individual personalities in this production.

Further, Matt has the perfect narrative voice. He calls it his "storyteller voice," a smooth, easy flowing tone with just a twist of a British accent. When he narrated a few passages from the beginning of the book, it sent chills up my spine!

Overall, I am really looking forward to this. If this goes as well as I hope, we just might produce the entire series in audio. But I am getting way ahead of myself. For now, I'm just happy that Ruins is finally coming to audio.
